Creative strategy & content partnership
Mama Taco
October 2026 activation plan
Contents
What this proposal covers
Nine parts. Who we are, what we see, the idea, the assets, the month and the terms.
01 · The partnership
A creative partner, not a content vendor.
Just GO Entertainment proposes a creative partnership with Mama Taco: to translate the restaurant's food, drinks, hospitality and atmosphere into a cohesive visual presence, and to make it the cultural destination people plan their week around.
What October delivers
The experience, made visible
Creative strategy, cinematic video, photography and campaign assets that give prospective guests a clear picture of a night at Mama Taco, and a reason to come this month.
How decisions are made
Message first, then camera
Production priorities follow Mama Taco's objectives, audience, current performance and upcoming events. Every concept links one audience message to defined deliverables and channels. Results shape the next round.
Why Just GO
Built to be felt, not just seen
We close the gap between the quality of a physical experience and how it is perceived online. Mama Taco's room, bar and kitchen already deliver. The feed should prove it.
02 · The opportunity
Today the feed shows the plate. We'll show the night.
Mama Taco is a women-owned Mexican fusion restaurant and lounge at 5025 Broadway in Inwood: two levels, a patio, a bar that runs to 2am and a 4.3 rating on Google. Guests choose by the evening they imagine. The opportunity is to make that evening vivid before they walk in.
Public footprint as of 29 September 2026. Tripadvisor listing unclaimed and empty. Reservations run through OpenTable for parties up to 20.

Mama Taco's current imagery. Strong on the plate. Quiet on the room, the bar and the people.
What we see
And what week one confirms
- Communicates wellThe food and the offers. Birria tacos, bang bang shrimp tacos, oxtail empanadas and churros come up again and again in reviews. Happy hour, Taco Tuesday and the $35 bottomless brunch are clear. The sugar-skull mark, the mascot and the neon sign are instantly recognisable.
- Left unclearThe room after dark and the two levels guests mention. The bar beyond a single pour. The people, whom reviewers praise for service. The feed leads with flyers rather than photography, posts arrive in bursts with months between them, and R&B Night and Afro House barely appear.
- Priority occasionsThe first round at happy hour. Taco Tuesday with the DJ. R&B Night and Afro House. Bottomless brunch on Saturday and Sunday. The celebration table for groups. And Halloween as October's soft holiday, before the November and December rush.
- ChannelsInstagram is verified with 24.2K followers, but recent reels earn double- and low-triple-digit likes. TikTok sits at 369 followers and has gone quiet while creators post about Mama Taco without it. Google carries 389 photos and no website. Happy hour reads 2–8pm in the bio and 3–9pm in the latest post.
- Distinguishing storiesWomen-owned and community-minded. The bar as a stage. The kitchen's hands. Music that reviewers mention as often as the food. A neighbourhood at the top of Manhattan with Inwood Hill Park, a running community and Columbia's stadiums a few blocks away.
Week one confirms all of this with 90 days of account analytics, a five-account competitor scan, the full review set and an on-site walkthrough. Findings are presented before the first production day.
03 · Audience & objectives
Who we speak to, and what we want them to do.
Two guest profiles anchor the creative. Each one tells us what the content has to show before that guest makes the trip.
Guest profile 01
The weeknight regular
Ashley, 31 · The Bronx, ten minutes over the bridge
Healthcare · College graduate
- Core needs
- Community, family and tequila.
- Pain points
- Expensive bars. Places that don't look like anything.
- What she needs to see
- The first drink at happy hour. The value of the evening against its price. A table of friends that looks like hers.
Guest profile 02
The connector
John, 35 · Downtown Manhattan, the 1 train uptown
Finance · College graduate
- Core needs
- Success, stability, love and family.
- Pain points
- Overworked. Little time to enjoy life and meet people.
- What he needs to see
- The bar as a social room. R&B Night with a reason to show up. A place worth the ride to the top of the line.
Objectives for October
Make the experience legible
A clear picture of the food, the drinks, the room and the people, in one recognisable visual language across Instagram and TikTok.
Give a reason to visit now
Specific calls to action attached to R&B Night, the Halloween edition and menu features, posted three days a week.
Build a durable content system
A library, a cadence and a working rhythm that keeps the feed consistent without weekly scrambling.
Desired guest action: book a table, RSVP to a night, or bring the group. Every asset in this plan points to one of the three.
04 · Creative strategy
An evening at Mama Taco.
People don't choose a restaurant by dish. They choose by the evening they imagine having. So the campaign follows one evening from arrival to last call, and every asset is a scene from it.
Audience insight
Guests already believe the food is good. What they can't picture is the night around it: who they'll be with, how the room feels, whether it's worth the trip.
Central message
Mama Taco is the evening you'll want to repeat. Food, drinks and atmosphere as one cultural destination, not three separate posts.
Desired action
Book the table. RSVP to the night. Bring the group. Each scene ends with one of these, never all three.
6:40 pm
Arrival
The sign warms up over the brick. The street, the door, the first look inside.
We captureSign reveal, exterior slow pan, the host at the door.
6:50 pm
Welcome
The room fills. Candles, plants, the glow of the bar. A table set and waiting.
We captureSlow-motion atmosphere, a prepared table, staff in motion.
7:00 pm
First drink
Ice, shaker, pour, garnish. The bartender is the first host of the night.
We captureBartender reveal, the still-camera drink series.
7:20 pm
The kitchen
Hands, fire, garnish. One order followed from ticket to plate.
We captureChef reveal, eight-clip prep sequence, plating.
7:45 pm
Shared plates
The table crowds with colour. Hands reach across. Nobody orders just one thing.
We captureOverhead spread, detail frames, first reactions.
9:00 pm
The night
The music comes up. R&B, Afro House, a second round. The part people came for.
We captureGuests and staff together, the DJ, long-table energy.
Last call
The sign at night
The street again, now dark, the neon doing its work. A reason to come back.
We captureExterior night frame with the closing call to action.
Visual treatment
How it looks and sounds
Lighting
Practical light first: neon, candle, bar backlight. One soft key to lift faces. No flat fill.
Colour
Warm tungsten and neon red against deep green foliage and dark wood. Drinks styled to pop: a rim, a flower, a lime.
Pacing
Held, slow frames for the room. Quick rhythmic cuts for prep and pours. Nothing in the dining room is rushed.
Sound
Room tone, ice, sizzle, glassware. Licensed R&B and Latin tracks for reels. The hero film stands without trending audio.
Typography
Mama Taco's own script from the sign for titles. A clean sans for captions. On-screen text kept to one line.
Balance
Hero film: about 60% human moments, 40% product detail. Menu and drink content inverts that ratio.
05 · Campaign concepts
Five concepts, one evening.
Each concept is a scene from the evening with its own audience message, deliverables and channels. Together they make up the October inventory.

The Sign
A 45 to 60 second cinematic commercial that plays the whole evening: the sign reveal, the bartender and chef getting ready, an order followed from prep to plate, the room in slow motion, and the sign again at night.
The one asset every other piece points back to. It anchors the profile, any future website, and whichever placements Mama Taco chooses to boost.
- Audience message
- This is what a night at Mama Taco feels like.
- Deliverables
- 1 hero film (45–60s), a 15s cut, 3 campaign stills pulled from motion.
- Channels
- Instagram Reels, TikTok, website header, in-venue screens.

The Pour
Three locked-off reels built around the bar, starting with the coconut margarita. Drink: an empty glass stands in for the letter I, then ice, spirit, flavour and garnish arrive in order. Wrong side, right drink: the glass is upside down; the pour comes anyway. The ice toss: the bartender misses beat after beat until the last throw lands and the drink's name animates on screen.
Four drink recommendation carousels extend the series into the grid: the drink as the hero, one fun fact, and the taco Mama Taco says to pair it with.
Before the shoot we work with the bartender on styling: a rim, a flower, a lime, colours that hold up on camera.
- Audience message
- The bar is worth the first round.
- Deliverables
- 3 vertical editorial reels, 4 pairing carousels (6–8 frames each).
- Channels
- Reels, TikTok, Stories; carousels to the grid.

Before the Rush
Day-to-day reels that show the people: prep, the first pour of service, setting the room, the staff getting ready. Shot alongside the hero film on both production days.
Each one also gets a POV cut for TikTok, the format the algorithm favours for restaurants: "POV: you just found the best tacos in the neighbourhood." One reel documents the setup of the Halloween edition as the night approaches.
- Audience message
- Real people, real craft, every day.
- Deliverables
- 3 day-to-day reels with POV cuts, 1 event-setup reel.
- Channels
- Reels, TikTok and Stories.

The Table
Every taco photographed: birria, bang bang shrimp, fried chicken, fish, carnitas, tinga and al pastor. Then the shredded chicken burrito, the steak burrito bowl, the oxtail empanadas, the churros and the coconut margarita, shot against the bar and the stand-out corners of the room so each dish carries the atmosphere with it. Overhead spreads for the celebration table and a Halloween setup for October.
The menu template is redesigned around the new imagery, and a visual menu lives online so guests can see every dish even where the printed menu can't hold a photo.
- Audience message
- Know what you're ordering before you arrive.
- Deliverables
- 10 or more menu photographs, a redesigned menu template, a seasonal carousel.
- Channels
- Menu, grid, Google Business Profile, delivery platforms, website.

Nights at Mama Taco
R&B Night is the biggest night of the month and deserves a promotion as good as the music. October's edition becomes the Halloween edition: one night that carries the seasonal special, the creator visit and the event coverage.
A micro-creator with a human-scale following is briefed to represent the restaurant, not their own brand. Their appearance is then used the way it works best: as the promo for the next R&B Night. Taco Tuesday with the DJ, Wing Wednesday and the weekend brunch party get the same treatment, so every night is captured and posted in one format from now on.
- Audience message
- There's a night here for you this month.
- Deliverables
- 1 seasonal carousel, 1 event coverage reel, 1 creator reel.
- Channels
- Reels, TikTok, Stories, event listings.
06 · Events & community
A reason to come every month.
Consistent nights give the content something to point at. The community around Mama Taco is already looking for a place to gather, and this is the programme we build the year around.

Community partnerships
Audiences that already exist
New York community groups: women's hangouts, make-new-friends meetups and lifestyle collectives with members actively looking for somewhere to go.
Restaurant discovery and things-to-do apps that put Mama Taco in front of people planning their night, with each event listed as it's announced.
Micro-creators who feel like someone you know. They bring a real crowd, and their content reads as a recommendation rather than an ad.
The TNT running club, Inwood Hill Park regulars and Columbia game-day crowds a few blocks away. Mama Taco becomes the before-and-after spot, not just a Cinco de Mayo stop.
Stellar Connect leads event sponsorship and setup. Cayena leads community outreach and the running club. Just GO captures and packages every night in one consistent format.
07 · Content system
One production. A month of assets.
Two production days generate the whole October inventory. Every asset has a purpose, a format and a place to go, and the footage keeps working after the month ends.

Beyond October
The road ahead
The evening at Mama Taco. Hero film, bar series, menu library, R&B Night Halloween edition.
The fall pop-up market with small brands. Holiday gatherings, private dining and catering. The pairing series continues.
After-work holiday parties and New Year's Eve. Hero film re-cut for the season. Group booking assets.
Valentine's, comedy night, and Cinco de Mayo promoted weeks ahead with creators. A website with the visual menu, so the Google listing finally has somewhere to send people.
October stands alone as an activation. From November the partnership continues month to month with 30 days' notice, or as a three-month partnership at $0,000 per month. What performs in October shapes what we shoot in November.
